Welcome to Maris Cottage - a well appointed, large 4 bed house at The Bay Filey holiday village. Located near a boules court and within a short walk of the meadows this is a perfect choice for a large or two family holiday.
Enter into the property and use the large storage space for all your coats and shoes, Walk through the large dining room with extended dining table seating 8.
Off the dining room is a WC and ground floor double bedroom - ideal for multi generational family holidays. The other door leads to a large kitchen and lounge area with all the appliances you’ll expect for a self-catering break including a large fridge / freezer and spacious lounge / seating area with an additional fridge for all your drinks!
The large kitchen / lounge to the rear of the property has French doors leading to a patio with NEW (June 2025) seating for 8. The lounge area has lovely NEW (June 2025) leather sofas, armchair and SMART TV.
Upstairs, the king size bedroom has a TV and an en-suite shower room with rainfall shower. There are a further two twin bedrooms upstairs. The family bathroom has a bath and overhead rainfall shower. Central heating throughout.
Parking is available in the resort car park, a mere 1-minute walk from the property.
Maris Cottage is a large pet friendly house and is ideal for a large family with space for 2 dogs!

Booked Maris Cottage via Anchor Holidays and must say, their service was first class.
Communication leading up to the holiday and the very clever use of modern technology which provided us with an app based information centre was great. Simple to use and navigate round and backed up with supporting emails at key times in the lead up to leaving home was excellent.
We did have some issues such as a cot which was ordered, not being available but one phone call had a brand new one supplied within minutes. Same when we decided to have some beans with a meal - no tin opener, one phone call and I was given the location of a new (boxed) one, which I collected it from the AH reps home (codes given for access and location of a new unit).
Whilst it could be argued that these were negative points, we were happy to understand the difficulty of managing other peoples properties and the issues were dealt with, and solved, quite literally within minutes.
The cottage was in an ideal location almost mid way between Scotland where my daughter and her family live and my home in the South Midlands of England. It was perfectly clean and of a size which accommodated 7 of us (5 adults and 2 children) with a small garden at the back and space for our two cars. Just perfect.
The resort facilities were a bit out of date and fairly minimum but as we were blessed with pretty good weather, Filey, Scarborough and the Beach was ideal for our needs.
Easy access to the beach. albeit rather hilly, but again, virtually no facilities to be seen down there.
Full access to internet, TV, and all the kitchen facilities and bedding etc. was supplied - really good value for money.
The holiday was excellent and I would certainly go back but given some of the revies here, I would be using Anchor Holidays in view of their customer service and speed of reacting when small (and slightly larger) issues occurred.
