Welcome to Jolly Roger Cottage is a well appointed 4 bed house at The Bay Filey holiday village. Featuring open plan living this is the perfect choice for a large family (or two families) holiday. Jolly Roger has been fully re-decorated with new appliances to the kitchen including full size fridge freezer, upgraded lighting throughout and other works to make this a lovely family house.
Enter into the property and use the large storage space for all your coats and shoes. Walk through the large dining room with extended dining table seating 8. Off the dining room is a WC and ground floor bedroom (double bed) - ideal for multi generational family holidays.
The other door leads to a large kitchen and lounge area with all the appliances you’ll expect for a self-catering break including a large fridge / freezer and spacious lounge / seating area.
The large kitchen / lounge to the rear of the property has French doors leading to a patio with BBQ area. The lounge area has a lovely corner leather sofa and SMART TV.
Upstairs, the master bedroom (king) has an en-suite shower room with rainfall shower. There is a further king size bedroom and a twin-bedded room. The family bathroom has a bath and overhead rainfall shower. Central heating throughout.
Parking is available directly outside the back door.
Jolly Roger Cottage is a large pet friendly house and is ideal for a large family with space for 2 dogs!

Some amenities are chargeable locally like food and drink, tennis and any activities operated by Away Resorts such as Archery and Crafts.

Lovely weekend away

Lovely few days away staying in the Jolly Roger Cottage. Brilliant location and great access to the fantastic beach which takes you straight to Filey.Worth a stop at Bempton Cliffs to see the puffins nesting on route to Bridlington. Weather was great all weekend too which makes a difference only issue was the garden is in the shade in the afternoon so can be abit cooler this time of year.The house was fine for what we needed although it was abit of a squash on the sofas to seat 8 people. The Bay itself is lovely and well maintained the pub onsite is pricey and menu not that exciting but nice enough. The two fridges in the property was a nice touch as we did an intranet shop so we had plenty of space for everything. Only negative about property bed in downstairs room was really thin and hard and needs more seating in the living area but appreciate space is limited.Parking was fine when we arrived but be warned its really busy and if you move your car you will probably find you cannot get parked again which is annoying when its the space outside your property luckily the reception area is across so could use this car park although a lot of people seem to have the same idea.We wouldnt definitely look to return

Hi,Many thanks for your review and we're glad that you enjoyed most aspects of your stay at the property.As you say, space is limited for seating 8 in the lounge area, but as a build to a modern standard this is not atypical. We like to think that the seating for 8 in the dining area and the recently refreshed outside seating for 8 make up for this on most occasions.We're glad the recent addition of a second fridge/freezer was found to be useful as we are always looking to improve our guests' experience where possible.With regards to the downstairs bedroom, can you confirm that the issue is in general with the mattress so that we can address this for future guests?Many thanks again.Graham

Lovely house on the edge of the bay development. Well equipped house which was a lovely base for our stay. The bay is a lovely development & our whole family enjoyed all the facilities it had on offer.

Excellent house for a family get together.

I looked at Anchor Bay holidays on a recommendation from a friend. Jolly Roger was available and had 4 bedrooms to sleep 8 which is what I wanted. Was lovely and warm on arrival, comfortable and our stay was a great success. The leisure centre pool was great for the family and the gym. 15 minute walk down to a beautiful beach.
