Why we need your data
We need to know your personal data to provide you with a quote for a holiday or to take, process and manage your booking (and stay), and notify you of any changes to our service prior to your stay. We do not collect any personal data from you that we do not need to provide you with this service.
What types of data do we collect –
Enquiry– Name, email, and telephone number (and other information if supplied)
Booking request or booking – Number of guests, approx age band of each guest (i.e. a child or adult), address of booker, email, telephone number(s), payment arrangements, special requirements which may affect your arrangements at the property (e.g. allergies, medical conditions, disabilities).
Who do we share your information with –
If you place a booking, we will share your basic information (e.g main booker’s name, number of guests, bed configuration, and personal requirements) with the housekeeper for the booking.
The specific property owner also has access to the main booker’s name.
We hold your data on “Supercontrol”, a secure system designed to administer holiday bookings, enquiries and payments. This is fully protected with the latest SSL technology and safeguards including rolling password changes and two-factor authentication.
How do we treat your information –
All details that you provide to Anchor Bay Holidays (or to a channel such as Airbnb which then passes to Supercontrol) will be kept for the period of your booking and holiday. We are required under UK law to keep basic information on the lead booker, such as your name, address and contact details for a maximum of 6 years, after which time it will be destroyed. We hold your information securely and do not share this information with any third parties other than as set out in the statement. We do not hold information for marketing purposes unless you give explicit consent for this.
