A holiday on The Bay offers numerous family friendly swimming and leisure options – at various venues around the village. Find out more below……..

Swimming

The Bay Filey village has a large indoor 20m heated pool and small baby pool. This is open all year round and is ideal for families. This is a short walk from all of our properties and there is a car park if you prefer. Access to the pool, sauna, steam room is totally FREE and included with ALL holidays.

The pool is home to a sauna and steam room – ideal for relaxing in after a day on the beach or walking the glorious Wolds.

Various swim sessions are organised throughout the day including

Adults only sessions (lane swimming)
Pool aerobics
Family fun sessions

There are many sessions including family fun splash sessions that you can book and the small baby pool is ideal for keeping the water babies warm!

When you book a holiday with us, you will receive links to the pool timetable and the booking system that will be in place (if applicable) for your holiday. Access to the pool, sauna, steam room is totally FREE and included with ALL holidays.

Leisure – What else is available within the village?

The Gym

All guests get access FREE of charge to the refurbished (2021) gym – simply use the leisure pass in the property and use the gym as much or as little as you like.

The gym includes a range of cardio and weight machines and is Technogym branded equipment to a high standard.

Tennis and Leisure

The Bay has a full size tennis court (refurbished 2023) and table tennis tables. These are located at the Leisure Centre and sessions can be booked for a small fee – booking information is available through welcome emails.

Other activities such as Archery, Football, Arts and Crafts are all available season depending.

Playground

The Bay has a great adventure playground which is great for kids of all ages.

This is operated by Away Resorts and no responsibility for the playground is taken by ABHL.

Arcade / Family Entertainment

The Bay does have a arcade featuring:

10p stack and slide games
video games
skill games

Beauty

Within the leisure complex there is a beauty treatment room offering a variety of popular beauty treatments.

When you book you are sent details of opening times and booking information. Please note this is a private business on the village and is not part of ABHL.

Boules

Around the village there are many boules / pétanque courts for you to use. Some are right outside the cottages and none are far away!

You can buy boules sets in the village or bring your own – it’s a great relaxing family game for all the family!

Table Tennis

There are table tennis tables located around the village. Bring your own bats or hire them from the leisure centre for a small deposit.

Walks

Your property is located on The Bay Filey which is located on the amazing Yorkshire Coast. You can walk round the Bay itself and access its acres of maintained grounds, the wildflower meadows and lakes or wander further afield using the paths without needing your car. The King Charles III England Coastal Path passes through the village and is ideal for exploring the coast!
