About Anchor Bay Holidays
Anchor Bay Holidays Limited is an award winning company established by Anthony and Kirstie Smith who are long standing holiday home owners on the Yorkshire Coast.
Our Story
As a long standing owner on The Bay and frustrated by quality alternatives to the mass market agents, we wanted to provide a high-quality, high-value holiday experience for guests and owners alike.
We now have well over 100 properties in various locations on the Yorkshire Coast and all within a short drive of our “home” and where it all began – The Bay Filey and the charming town of Filey.
All properties have been picked by us so we ensure you have a great holiday and we have something for everyone’s family and budget.
We set minimum standards (including decorating, inventory and equipment) for our properties checking them at least every month against a 40 point check list to ensure the property is up standard so you have a great holiday!
Putting People First, Every Step of the Way
As a holiday home owner we know what makes a great holiday – holding Airbnb Superhost status and Premier host status on VRBO as well as listing on 5 other channels (always book direct for the best rates). We know the coast, towns and villages extremely well, have links to local restaurants and attractions and above everything, we pride ourselves on our customer service, communication and property standards.
We have an amazing record of customer service, an exceptional housekeeping team and local property managers who are on hand 24/7 if you encounter any problems during your stay. We have access to local tradespeople as well as plumbers and electricians should the unexpected happen.
We are onsite every week and we love meeting guests and would love you to stop us and say hello! When not booking holidays for people Anthony likes to undertake all kind of repairs for “Leeds Repair Cafe” (an organisation offering free repairs and recycling to support the local community), whilst Kirstie is a full time “Dance Mum”!

Inspired by Anthony’s love of swimming and open water swimming, Anchor Bay Holidays has partnered with Filey Lifeboat Station. When you book with us you can make a donation where 100% of money donated goes to Filey Lifeboat Station.
York Against Cancer
York Against Cancer have a property on the Bay Filey. Anchor Bay Holidays have donated free booking software and other items to the property as this charity offers cancer sufferers and their families free breaks and holidays throughout the year. To support this amazing work and house we offer guests the chance to donate before, or during, their stay during the booking process!

We are a member of PASC – The Professional Association of Self Caterers reflecting the high standard of our offer. This means that we work with our owners to ensure that your holiday home meets or exceeds the UK requirements for furnished holiday lets.
