Bridlington Kite Festival
One of the most colourful, uplifting events on the East Yorkshire coast – the Bridlington Kite Festival, returning for its 10th Anniversary Special on Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th May 2025!
The Bridlington Kite Festival is a vibrant annual event held on the cliff tops above Sewerby, just north of Bridlington. This free, family-friendly festival showcases some of the world’s largest inflatable kites, including giant frogs, snakes, whales, and teddy bears. In addition to professional kite displays, visitors can participate in supervised kite-flying sessions, enjoy parachuting teddy bear drops, and explore various food stalls, fairground rides, and children’s entertainment. The festival is organized by East Riding of Yorkshire Council in partnership with The Northern Kite Group and typically takes place in May. It’s a must-visit for families and kite enthusiasts seeking a fun-filled day by the sea.
In May 2025, the Bridlington Kite Festival marked its 10th anniversary with a spectacular display of giant inflatable kites, drawing numerous visitors to the cliff tops above Sewerby.
