For those who crave a bit more action, The Bay village has plenty to offer:
- Tennis Court: Newly surfaced in 2023, perfect for friendly matches. Just remember to book in advance and there’s a small fee.
- Outdoor Table Tennis: Enjoy some casual games with friends and family; a refundable deposit is required for the paddles and balls.
- Outdoor Boules: Dotted around The Bay, you can find sand boules areas, either bring your own or for a refundable deposit hire a set of boules.
- Meadows Walk: A picturesque stroll awaits, complete with a small football pitch for budding soccer stars.
- Playground: A children’s play area
At The Bay Filey You Can Eat, Drink, and Be Merry
After a day filled with activities, refuel at our onsite eateries:
- John Paul Jones: This dog and family-friendly pub serves delicious, freshly prepared meals and a selection of ales. It’s the perfect spot to unwind after a busy day.
- The Four Cats: A cozy pizza and coffee bar offering both dine-in and takeaway options. Indulge in a slice while enjoying the laid-back atmosphere.
Or alternatively stock up from the shop and stay in and cook – every property have fully stocked kitchens it truly is like home from home.

With four scenic walks leading to The Bay Beach, you can enjoy the fresh coastal air and stunning views. Three of these routes offer direct, traffic-free beach access, including a portion of the King Charles III England Coastal Path—perfect for a family adventure or a peaceful solo stroll.
Also, within a short drive (5 minutes away) there is a great Whisky Distillery, The Spirit of Yorkshire. We have teamed up with them to offer our staying guests with a 2 for 1 offer on an -one-hour tour.
