There is something about the charm of Sledmere which has captivated visitors for over 200 years.

Whether you just want a relaxing day looking around the beautiful Walled Garden, enjoying a picnic lunch in the Parkland, a family day out exploring the wide open spaces, having fun in the Adventure Play Area and meeting the animals in the Rare Breed Farm Park – or even just simply looking at fine art and architecture in our beautiful country home, there is something for everyone at Sledmere.

Enjoy a drink in the village pub or visit one of our cafes.

Sledmere House is open for Guided Tours only, from late March to early October on selected dates. Please check the House section on our website for the dates the House is open as these vary.
